Hi my name is Kristy and I've just started my 22nd year as a high school teacher. If you are a teacher or know one, then you are aware that these past few years have been a struggle for many of our students. Now, more than ever, our students are struggling with emotional and mental health issues and teachers are trying to help in any way they can. Students know that my door is always open but sometimes that's just not enough. It has been a dream of mine to have a therapy dog in my classroom to enable all of my students to reach their full potential. Well, my opportunity is here! I have found the perfect puppy to train, an amazing mentor to teach me and a phenomenal school district that will allow my dream to come true. Now comes the hard part, finances. This puppy is from a wonderful line of therapy dogs and he will be an amazing asset to our students. With that being said, with 2 teenagers and 2 other amazing dogs, I could use all the help I can get. This little guy will be joining our family at the end of October and I am trying to raise as much money as I can to cut down some of the expenses.
