Gabrielle has a brain tumor that took over her pituitary gland. She had brain surgery to remove the tumor but not all of it could be removed. She had radiation to help remove the rest of the tumor, but a little amount still remains. 

Her body produces no natural hormones since she no longer has a pituitary gland, so she has to take many medications to replace them. One of the medicines caused the need to have to have another surgery, so uncertainties have been known to arise along this journey.  

This condition comes with many challenges, such as liver issues, very high sensitivities to heat, and allergies to her surroundings.  Severe fatigue, nausea and anxiety also accompanies this health condition.

Her love for dogs, and the comfort that they bring her, is one thing that does give her peace through all the difficulties she has been through. Since medical bills have been so high, she is  seeking assistance in acquiring a therapy dog. A therapy dog would be such a comfort to her to be with her for all that she goes through, and help take her mind off all her stressors.
