Hi, I’m Sophie Mandel, a therapist based in Seattle. Like many of you, I’ve been feeling lost and overwhelmed. As therapists, we already carry a great deal—supporting individuals and families through both personal and collective trauma during an incredibly challenging time. This fund grew from a desire to extend that care beyond the therapy room in a concrete and collective way.

This is an invitation to turn one hour of our work into tangible legal protection. While one of us alone can only do so much, together we can create meaningful impact. I’m inviting fellow therapists to consider donating one session-fee hour—whatever that means for you—to the National Immigrant Justice Center, whose work provides critical legal defense for immigrants and asylum seekers.
