On January 12th, a series of terminations began at Turning Point USA, events that have been discussed publicly as the “TPUSA Purge.” These employment decisions occurred in an at-will context and, for many, felt sudden and misaligned in light of the long hours and continued work performed with the expectation of ongoing employment.

That expectation was reinforced directly by leadership. In a company-wide message, our CEO stated:

“I don’t want anyone to think their job is in jeopardy. Because you’re family… and I promise you I will make sure that I never allow a point where you have to leave because we cannot financially support you. And that is a promise.”

Former employees were not provided severance or payout of accrued PTO, creating an unexpected transition.

As public attention surrounding these events grew, many people reached out asking how they could offer support. This fund was created as a way for those who have expressed care and solidarity to offer voluntary assistance during this time.

Our request is a simple one: contributions that represent only a small fraction of the support and resources the organization has raised publicly in recent months, and that can help provide something resembling a temporary cushion as those impacted navigate this transition.

All contributions will be used to help cover essential living expenses and provide short-term support as we pursue next steps after these deeply unexpected events.
