Imagine the young people of West County leading us towards educational equity. Imagine the young people of our community coming up with solutions to the challenges in front of us and spurring us to collaborate in ways that lead to meaningful progress.
We need your help to make sure every young person in West County gets an excellent education!
The Potential Project is built on the belief that the young people of our community have the potential to change the world. The Potential Project provides young people the opportunity to spark the positive, collaborative efforts that it will take to ensure that every young person has the chance to realize her or his potential.
Students in elementary through high school can apply for up to $500 in grant funding to support an initiative that would raise awareness of the state of educational equity in our community, spark positive collaboration, and lead to measurable progress towards outcomes that matter. Check out a video of a few of our students in action this year here .
In year 1 (2014-2015 school year), we gave out about $4,000 in grants. In year 2 (2015-2016), we gave out about $9,000. This past school year (2016-2017) we awarded $12,709 in grants to young people across West County! Our goal this year is to raise $15,000 by the end of 2017, so that we can assure students that there will be financial support to bring their ideas to life (in the spring of 2018). But we need your help! Please consider contributing to ensure that our young people can bring about the change we need. Every dollar that you contribute will go directly into the hands of young people with big ideas to improve their schools.
Thank you! And God bless you!
