Art in the Park needs your help!

Donation protected
Art In The Park is a free, drop in community art program. Jerry Silverberg has been our resident artist for the past 3 years, and teaches attendees art skills such as printing, book making, puppet making & collages. It serves adults, neighbourhood kids and others, including those who may not have other options for summer programs such as those who live on low incomes. Arts are such a great way for people to connect with their own strengths and interests, and also to connect with community.

Art In The Park would not have been as successful as it has been if it wasn’t for the grants we received from The Toronto Arts Council over the last 3 years. Due to the many other applicants, we unfortunately did not receive funding from them this year, but we hope to be able to work with them again in the future. They may still reimburse our permit fees but it still costs ~$1,000 per week to run.

The PCA has contributed financially in the past, but particularly in applying and handling lots of logistics, promoting and reporting. This year we will be offering up a larger financial contribution, but to ensure that it can go ahead we decided to set up a GoFundMe Campaign to ask local residents to help us cover some of the costs.

We can't do this without your help, so please consider giving whatever you can so that our community’s kids (and adults alike) can benefit from this wonderful, inclusive, free neighborhood program.
