Theo’s Life Saving Heart Procedure

URGENT: HELP SAVE THEO'S LIFE! 

This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write, as a son. My Dad, Theo Swart, based in Bahrain, a devoted father of 3 sons, loving husband, and one of the kindest, most selfless souls I’ve ever known - is fighting for his life. 

Dad has always been the first to help, the first to give, and the last to ever ask for anything in return. If you’ve ever crossed paths with him, you’ll know the kind of person he is. Whether it was a friend in need, a family member struggling, or even a stranger facing hard times, Dad has always stepped up - without hesitation, without expecting anything back. That’s just who he is. 

Now, he is the one who needs us—and this time, he can’t fight this battle alone. 

At just 56 years old, Dad is facing a severe and worsening heart condition. He has battled life-threatening heart rhythm disorders for years, including Atrial Fibrillation, Atrial Flutter, and Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome with 7 different pathways—all of which cause his heart to beat dangerously fast and out of control, putting him at constant risk of stroke, heart failure, or sudden cardiac arrest. 

Despite undergoing multiple procedures, Dad’s condition has worsened in recent months. The medications that once helped control his heart rhythm are no longer working. He has suffered repeated emergency heart episodes, where his heart has become so unstable that he’s had to be rushed to the hospital multiple times, requiring cardioversion (electric shocks) to bring his heartbeat back to normal. 

Now, his doctors have made it clear: 

Dad needs an urgent and immediate invasive specialist heart procedure (EPS ablation) to correct his condition—without it, the next episode could be fatal. Our Mom and us as sons - my youngest brother is only 16 - could lose him if we don’t act fast. 

Dad has no medical insurance. A year ago, he lost his job without warning, and despite best efforts, he has yet to find a full-time position. Without a full-time job, Dad cannot obtain medical insurance that would cover this precondition. The financial strain on our family has been overwhelming, making every day a struggle. His worsening heart condition has left him barely able to work, adding to his frustration and despair. My Dad is a man who has spent his life lifting others up—now, it’s time for us to lift him up. Together we have the power to save his life.
