Theo's Fight: Surgery for a Loving Dog

Hi! Let me tell you about Theo!

Theo is a wonderful dog who's about to turn 6 on 02/28. He's a joyful, energetic dog who loves kids and chickens, and he will literally lay with our chickens as they wander in our backyard. Very protective and lovable.

On Saturday, Theo was waking up nonstop at night, whining and kept needing to go outside. He tried and tried to go to the restroom and couldn't. We took him to the emergency vet where he got X-rays, lab work, and an ultrasound. They discovered an obstruction in his small intestine and decided to monitor it with more X-rays. Here we are on Monday, where the X-rays are showing the obstruction is worsening and recommending surgery with a hospitalization stay.

We truly love Theo so much and want to help him with everything. We are reaching out to community vets hoping to find something a bit more affordable. The estimate for the surgery itself is 8k, not including the hospital days.
