BREED SPECIFIC LEGISLATION DOES NOT WORK!

There has been a 188% increase in dog bites/attacks since BSL was introduced.

Every time a breed is banned, criminals who exploit dogs move onto a new “legal” breed. Battersea Dogs Home, RSPCA, BLUE CROSS & DOGS TRUST are all against BSL and have been since the introduction in 1991.

Former Tory MP, Baroness Janet Fookes, who steered the legislation through the commons in 1991 said: “I think he should be more radical when looking at the Dangerous Dogs Act. It is time that was sent to the knackers yard and a new system instituted altogether” in 2023

Who could be affected by this?

If the ban comes in place many Dogs will be seized & euthanized due to the way they look, this could include any dog that meets only 50% of the measurements – this is discrimination. Many breeds such as the ones below, will be affected.

For example during the pit ban in 1991 many Staff’s and Labrador puppies were seized and later euthanized for just simply looking like Pit’s.

The American XL Bully

Many people do not know this, but the American XL Bully was actually bred as a companion dog. They’re great with families and children. They’re loving, smart, emotional & loyal dogs. Many families own these dogs for their children whom suffer with a range of mental health problems such as; Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression. These dogs are extremely supportive. Many adults with mental health problems, who struggle to get help from the NHS, own these dogs because it gives them unconditional love and a reason to carry on.

All donations raised will go towards legal fees joined together with two other entities.
