Mr. Theodore Jordan was a leader in Detroit as a Director of Detroit HUD, worked for Detroit's first African-American Mayor, Coleman Young helping to keep the city safe, quelling fights of Detroit gangs by showing them there were other options, and elected Member of the Detroit Board of Education in 1974.

He received his M.A. in social work in 1972, and Gwendolyn hers in 1956. They encouraged their children to go as far as they can in Education. All four of their children hold Masters' degrees.

He married Gwendolyn Jordan in 1958 and they both saw that education was the key to a significantly better life. They traveled the world seeing Europe, China, Africa, and more.

Dr. Gwendolyn Jordan desires to continue the legacy of his inspiring life through education, and started the Theodore Jordan Education Fund in 2010 in his memory. The fund has distributed scholarships to over 10 students so far helping students to complete their Associates' and Bachelors' degrees.

Please find in your heart to contribute and help continue the education legacy of Theodore Jordan.
