Hello good people, My name is John and this is my first gofundme.. I never thought I’d be at a point where I needed to but I assume we all have our moments. I’m here fundraising for my 2 year old cat Theo. I’ve had him since February 18th of 2023 and he truly made me the happiest I’ve been. Just recently I had found out that another one of our pets(my brother’s dog) has been eating his food without me knowing. For a while now I thought they got along because I never seen problems between the two. Just yesterday morning I was going out to feed them when I realized that Theo wouldn’t respond to me, I was used to him jumping up at the sound of me grabbing the door handle or just my voice. Upon entering where I kept these two , I gently shook Theo and to my surprise he couldn’t even stand. He wasn’t even able to lift his head to look at me. I rushed him to an animal hospital to find out what was wrong and I was told that his internal organs had been ruptured from some kind of compressing force. My first assumption was that the dog had gotten a whole of him and ruptured something along his spinal cord causing him to no longer be able to hold himself up. After figuring out said information I was given the options to either get blood work done to find out what was bleeding internally for $504, a possible blood transfusion( which they said he’d most likely need) of $3500+, or to euthanize him for $250. Even with euthanizing him being the cheapest option I couldn’t go along with it because I refused to believe that he would die from this. Now all I ask is that I can raise enough to get his initial bloodwork done and then move from there. I’m not giving up on him!
