Whilst on tour with Yonaka, our van got broken into in broad daylight whilst parked in a car park in Leeds. All of our backpacks were stolen, including 5 of our MacBooks and hard drives, as well as cameras, makeup, clothes, two pairs of headphones, lyric books, passports and many irreplaceable items of high sentimental value.
For the past year, we have been working constantly on creating new songs and these have all been lost as they were stored on our hard drives, along with the software we use to make these tracks such as Logic Pro X, MaxMSP and Arturia. Not only have these projects been lost, but we will be unable to continue making music and continuing with doing what we love most in the world until we are able to get at least one laptop between us. Unfortunately in the world we live in today everything is done through technology, and this does not mean it will stop us in our creative tracks but does mean we won’t be able to continue on the same path that we were on, as many of our tracks focus heavily on getting the perfect synth sound to inspire their surrounding musical arrangements.
With your help, we can get through this and not be held at a stand still in our musical careers. It’s horrible to think that whoever stole these items won’t realise just how much they mean to our personal and working lives, and most of our possessions will probably just end up in a bin somewhere if they don’t think they’re of value. But we are keeping our chins up and finishing the rest of tour, we are truly touched by all your support already and cannot thank you enough for any help you have given.
Anything you can give at all will help, we promise to bring you the best second album you have ever heard. Even though you haven’t even heard the second half of this one. That’s a promise
Lots of love,
