Theng Moua (Txawj Theem Chongtoua Muas)

His story:

Theng was an incredible man who loved music, travel, and good food. He was sharp minded and intelligent - always a source for advice. He could always be found joking around and laughing with friends and family.

Theng's last waking moments were with his two youngest sons Theodore and Timothy. He passed peacefully on March 31st, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones.

Theng was 61 years old when he passed. He was born in Laos and immigrated to the United States as a refugee. His parents came from nothing and built a life in the United States of America through perseverance, loyalty, and hard work.

As the big brother, he was looked up to by his 7 siblings. He guided his siblings through life’s challenges and always taught them to do the right thing. His absence can never be replaced.

He had a successful career in the government as the Lead Programmer and Engineer for military defense. He recently retired and was beginning to enjoy the rest of his life. He began writing more music and shared often with the family. He traveled frequently to Thailand and was planning a cross-country road trip and an Alaskan fishing trip. He expanded his cooking skills - and he was starting to be a pretty good chef!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, he was not able to live out the rest of his days as we all hoped. However, his love of music remains strong in his sons Thomas and Tyler. His love of travel can be seen in his daughters Silver, Macy, Cassie, and Jeanie. His sharp mind and quick wit has been passed down to his sons Theodore and Timothy. And of course, his impecable taste for good food is found in all of his children.

Theng is survived by his 8 children Silver, Macy, Thomas, Cassie, Jeanie, Tyler, Theodore, and Timothy, his parents Thong and Chy Lee, and his 7 siblings, Phoua, Neng, Seng, Chou, My, Ger, and Tou Mao.
