On November 19th, 2019, my car was rear-ended at full speed by a driver who was not paying attention. There was a police car with its lights on on driving up the road I was about to turn on, so I did what you're legally supposed to do and I slowed down and pulled over to the side. Unfortunately, the man driving behind us did not see that I had stopped and slammed into the back of my car going at least 40+ mph. The car crumpled. If the car had been turned at all, it would have been my son that got hit head on.

We are all very shaken, but thankfully everyone is okay.



The car, however, is another story. My little Honda Fit was our family's only means of transportation. We use this vehicle for just about everything. Getting us all to and from work, school, piano lessons, my son's cardiologist appointments,... you name it. But now, we are in a predicament with a car that we cannot drive, and a ton of obligations for which we are responsible.

We will need a new car, pretty much immediately. This is where we need your help. We need to put a down payment on a car, because the driver who hit us was uninsured and we have to wait to figure out legalities. This money would also go towards a retainer for a car accident lawyer, as well as cover the Uber/Lyft rides that it's going to take to get to and from work/school/etc.



There are other ways that you can help, too. We will need resources for lawyers, good locations on where to purchase a vehicle, and more.
