Aman Moshref -- husband of Ghezal, father of Ali and Wali and owner/tailor extraordinaire at Clothes Fit Alterations in Pacheco Plaza in Novato -- suffered a seizure during the night on December 13. The next day, December 14, doctors discovered he had a brain tumor. He went into surgery the following day, December 15.

I have known the family since my youngest started kindergarten with their oldest son, Ali. Ali is now an 8th grader at San Jose Middle School. Wali is in 4th grade at Rancho Elementary. Anyone who has ever come in contact with this family through their many ventures -- his amazing business, the schools their two boys attend, the many basketball and soccer teams the boys have been star members of -- knows what a very giving family they are. Aman donates many services to those in need. Ghezal is a wunderkind of a volunteer. They have given back so much to the community they have called home for more than a decade.

And now it's time for us to give back while Aman makes what will hopefully be a full and speedy recovery. Aman, with much assistance from Ghezal, runs Clothes Fit Alterations. That is their sole source of income. Until Aman is back on their feet, they're going to need a helping hand. (Or at least your good wishes and prayers.)
