Purpose for Fundraising

Our environmental educational non-profit 501 c(3)in the heart of the Mojave desert needs water located in our underground aquifer. We plan on a 500ft deep well to create prolonged water access for our native and fruit-bearing desert trees and plants. Water is scarce in the Mojave desert with extraction from the ground and collection of rainwater essential to the vision of ecological abundance. 

Extraction of groundwater can be seen as detrimental to the environment, especially when the water used is lost by evaporation, poor irrigation choices, and water-intensive plants/trees. Our neighbor city in Pahrump, NV uses thousands of gallons a year to irrigate golf-courses in an extremely arid environment. The Pahrump Valley receives less than 5 inches of rain a year making this region a textbook definition of "desert."

At The Mojave Center, we will utilize our groundwater in an eco-friendly way that works to create as much biodiversity as possible. We have the ability to use our groundwater in a responsible way that creates water-retaining soil, wildlife habitat, drought-resistant ecology, and food for our community.

The Mojave Center 
is an environmental educational non-profit 501(c)(3) that provides the southwestern United States with skills essential to cultivating ecological abundance and authentic experiences in the natural world. 


We achieve this through 3 significant projects: Earthen Building Workshops, Rejuvenation of desert ecology & Outdoor Events


EARTHEN BUILDINGS:
We are dedicated to experimenting and creating alternative homes that are affordable and work with the natural world. We source the materials for our homes from the ground beneath our feet. A Shelter is a human right and should be accessible to everyone. We are committed to sharing the knowledge and experience of creating your own home from the earth. REGREENING THE DESERT:
The Mojave Center is a demonstration site that strives to create ecological abundance in the desert. We harvest water from the sky and ground to support the creation of water-retaining soil. The trees and plants at the MC provide shade, wildlife habitat, food, temperature reduction, and beauty. To help guide us along the journey to abundance in the desert, we look to our ancient ancestors and teachers for advice. The seeds we sow. we save. the Mc is here to stay. 


OUTDOOR EVENTS: Connecting Us to the Natural World. The Mojave Center is taking part in a huge opportunity to share the common need to celebrate life. We specialize in the planning and logistics for life-changing outdoor events. The MC is a community of guides, adventurers, first responders, music lovers, and just generally amazing people doing incredible things in unbelievable places. We hope that we can help empower and inspire you to see where you can take your outdoor event. It’s our world. We should get out there and make the most of it.
