Matty Malloy One-Man Show

Many of you know me as Matty Malloy the comedian, but before that I was Matthew Malloy the theater kid. As I have worked on my stand-up career over the past few years, I found myself itching to do some theater again. I browsed through a bunch of different scripts for one-person shows and fell in love with one of them.

This is where I need your help. I am working on acquiring the rights to DIVA: Live From Hell, a solo-musical by Nora Brigid Monahan and Alexander Sage Oyen. The story takes place at a cabaret show in Hell as HS theater club president Desmond tells the story of how he ended up in his situation. You can look up the show if you want to learn more about the plot, but I truly feel that this script is the perfect blend of what I've learned in musical theater and what I'm currently doing with comedy.

Acquiring the rights to a show is not cheap and I am humbly asking for any support to help offset the cost. The total package costs $1,635 and this would allow me to do a three-show run in October. Since the show takes place in Hell and Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday, I am aiming to run the show October 12-14 so that it runs on Friday the 13th.
