Thelma "Tootsie" Colucci

For those of you that don't know, Thelma my mother passed on Saturday morning 4-24  @ 1:00am. She was only 56 years old. She was surrounded with all the Love she could have been given and our hearts are feeling the pain from her passing, so I am asking for all that knew Thelma "Toots, Tootsie" Colucci, to help her children;, Cheyene and Shelby Colucci.

My mother had severe emphysema form smoking and COPD, along with uterine cancer. Her heart had swollen up on one side and filled with liquid that could not be expelled.  Her liver started to shut down, but she could not urinate, so dialysis was not an option. On 4/21 she asked to have her breathing mask taken off knowing that she would pass. I respected her wishes and 30 minutes later she fell asleep and never woke back up.

My mother lived a very hard life, however she did all that she could to make sure no matter what live had in store her children were always fed, clothed and had a roof over their heads. I have taken care of her cremation, but I need help taking care of what comes next.

Both of my little sisters lived with my mother in a small house which is almost paid off but is in need some some serious repairs. I am working with my sisters to get them on the right track. My biggest concern is making sure they do not have to worry about shelter. The mortgage amount left is just shy of $14,000 and I have some back taxes to take care of. We also need to update the electrical in this home as it is very old, and make some repairs to other various areas of them home.

In honor of my mother I would like to tell everyone to take a moment, and realize how short life is. Enjoy your life everyday. Make time for your loved ones, the things that make you happy. What you do day to day is what you need to do to make the ends meet. Do not let the wonderful gift of life slip by on routine.

Thank you for anyone reading this. I will always miss you mom. You have inspired me to be the best me possible, and I hope others reading this take a moment to remind themselves what makes life great and why you do what you do.
