My name is Melissa Brandle.  I am 33 years old. I have been a Type 1 Diabetic since 1995.  Diabetes has affected my health in many serious ways.  Recently I lost kidney function and was forced to start dialysis treatment three times a week.  My long term medical plan is to receive a kidney transplant and a pancreas transplant from the University of Utah Medical Center. The current and future costs are too great for someone in my position.  My health care team is awesome and I believe if I can get these transplants I will make a full recovery and be able to strive to repay the blessings I have received.
