My cat Jonesy, who I lovingly call my son, suddenly became very ill. I got a call while I was out that he was throwing up and didn’t feel well, so I rushed home. When I arrived, he was throwing up foam, lethargic, and struggling to breathe. That night was terrifying—I sat with him, fearing he might pass at any moment, and cried so hard I gave myself a black eye. Despite everything, he managed to get into his favorite sleep spot, but couldn’t actually rest. First thing in the morning, seeing he was still fighting, I started calling every vet I could find. Most places were out of funds to help, but I finally found a vet who would admit him and let me pay at pick up. He’s currently admitted, and the vets are as baffled as I am. They thought he might have swallowed something, but found only gas. His bloodwork and X-rays show elevated liver enzymes, and he still can’t eat or drink. They’re considering a feeding tube if he can’t swallow on his own. The bills are already at $985 and rising.

Every single penny myself and my best friend collect towards my son’s care is a penny we didn’t have before, and we just want to get him well and back home. The funds will go directly to his vet bills, his stay, and any surgery or procedures he might need depending on what the tests reveal.
