Some legacies are written in history books. Others are written in the hearts of the people.

We all encounter someone who leaves an indelible mark on our lives. For thousands, that person is Jack Rafferty—early pioneer of the human potential movement and mentor dedicated to helping people awaken to love, purpose, and possibility. Just shy of his 95th birthday and battling late-stage cancer, Jack recently passed on July 4th. Up until his final breath he continued creating and building on his life’s work. Your donation will fund and support the completion of his final projects, create scholarships and train facilitators to carry his legacy into the future.

That work is not finished. This is how we continue it and pay it forward.

WHO JACK IS AND WHO JACK WAS

Jack was an early pioneer of the human potential movement and one of the founders of est, an organization that reached more than a million participants in the 1970s and 1980s and helped lay the groundwork for a global revolution in personal development.

For six decades after, Jack kept doing the thing he did best: helping people fall in love — with themselves, with life, and with each other — and step into fuller, more authentic lives. At 94 years young, he was still teaching, still creating, still transforming lives.

THE FOUNDATION

As anyone who has dedicated their life to service knows, carrying forward a legacy like this takes a village—and requires resources. The Jack Rafferty Foundation, Inc. is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3), EIN 99-4606789. Contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Jack helped form the Foundation with a small, devoted group of friends and colleagues so his teachings would reach far beyond any single book, workshop, or seminar room.

WHAT YOUR DONATION SUPPORTS

Completing Jack's final work. Jack spent his last years writing his seminal book, tentatively entitled "Emergence", the culmination of decades of teaching on love, relationships, and human connection. Your support funds final editing, publishing, and distribution — so the book reaches the readers he wrote it for at home and abroad.

Scholarships. Jack believed no one should be turned away from this work for lack of money. The Foundation offers scholarships to people who could not otherwise attend a workshop or program — young people and seniors from underserved communities, educators, coaches, counselors, and therapists.

Training the next generation of facilitators. Teachings die with the teacher unless someone is trained to carry them forward. The Foundation is preparing the leaders who will deliver Jack's work, workshops and seminars for decades to come.

Preserving the archive. Six decades of talks, courses, and writings, digitally preserved and translated into multiple languages, so this work can serve people worldwide long after all of us are gone.
