My brother in law if you new him is always happy cracking jokes, willing to help anyone that needs and very active and we are hoping soon he will continue to be the active happy spirited person that he always was.
Last week having been feeling ill since Monday with a soar throat and a fever and not being able to sleep he decided on Wednesday night he would go sleep in the living room in order to let his wife get some rest since she had work in the morning.
When she woke up in the morning she went to go check on him and found him on the floor. He told her he had tried to get up to go to the restroom but had no feeling in his legs, feet, arms and hands. His son and her picked him up and brought him to the hospital where he's been since, he's been diagnosed with Guillain–Barré syndrome which is a rapid-onset muscle weakness sometimes peralisis caused by the immune system damaging the peripheral nervous system ( peralisis is what he has).
It's now a week and counting and there is no date yet on when he'll be out. His wife has had to leave her job, their kids continue in school fortunately with the help of family.
