My name is Jane Champion and I am blessed to be a friend of The Good Family. I have started this campaign in response to all of YOU wonderful people who have asked...how can I help? What can I do?
First, thank you to all of you out here who have already offered your time, love, prayer and resources to help carry this family through this challenging time. They feel your love and feel the blessing of your continued support and prayers.
Michael was diagnosed with Stage 3 Rectal Cancer on April 2nd. This was quite a shock to the Good Family. Mike has undergone 6 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy. He then had surgery to remove the tumor. This process ended up being a lot harder than expected and they have endured many set backs along the way. The tumor was removed with good margins. Pathology resulted in finding cancer in Michael's lymph nodes. Months of a stronger more agressive chemotherapy is the next step in Mike's fight against cancer.
While The Good family fights this disease, Renee has kept a journal of the ups and downs of Mike's progress. The journal with details about Michael, his family and their battle to beat cancer can be found through this link.

From her posts, it obvious that The Goods have been through A LOT the past several months...they have learned a lot, too. One if the many things The Goods are learning during this journey is that beating cancer is expensive!
This site is a safe and effective way to continue supporting The Goods, especially sweet Max and Ellie. Any little bit counts towards medical bills, medication costs, copays, gas for the car, special/required food for Mike, childcare, and so on and so on!
