DEAR COMMUNITY: Our beloved Denhi Donis NEEDS OUR LOVE & SUPPORT
Many of us have been blessed through the powerful medicine of our Elder Denhi Donis.
As a community supporter, mother, and friend Denhi continues to deliver beautiful Flowers to as many community gatherings as possible, for it is said that our prayers and desires reach the Universe through flowers.
Couple weeks ago, Denhi had to go to the emergency room She has an injured ankle. She is now on crutches and was given at least 6 weeks to recover. Unfortunately because of increasing health complications and now with a severely injured ankle, Denhi is unable to sell flowers until she’s able to get on her feet. This was a big wake up call for her in the sustainability of her occupation. As an immigrant and single mother of two, she has worked hard to not only make a living but always, on a grass-roots level, give back and show up for her community.
As a street vendor in Bernal Heights, Denhi relies financially, solely on being able to transport and set up her tables, as well as several buckets of water and a large variety of flowers to sell everyday. Her work is laborious and completely dependent on weather conditions as well as her own health and strength to be out in the elements every day.
We set up this GoFundMe to show Denhi that she is not alone and has our support!
Denhi is unable to work right now and has no other means to support herself after this accident .
Your offerings can be in the form of financial support that would help her towards rent and utilities and the cost of living is SF.
