Hi everyone, Firstly thank you for taking the time to read our story. On December the 2nd my beautiful West Highland Terrier Oscar was put to sleep peacefully in my arms. He was 14 years old and bought us so much joy. As you can imagine our family is completely devastated, but through our sadness we wanted to help an incredible young woman from Romania.

Let me tell you her story. Witnessing so much cruelty to animals she couldn’t rest, she couldn’t sleep or eat and was literally on her knees in despair. Moved to try and help in any way she could, she started an animal rescue shelter completely on her own, with no help what so ever. Along side this she spent 7 years doing veterinary medicine so that she could treat her animals herself. Unfortunately the authorities threatened her with closure so instead of taking her final exams she threw herself into fighting for her shelter, she won, but everyday is a huge struggle. She has never turned an animal away, and is currently caring for around 150 dogs and 80 cats, a lot of which have endured unimaginable cruelty. Up at the crack of dawn and often not in bed until gone midnight, she has frequently gone without food herself to feed her animals. Fighting huge monthly costs, freezing temperatures during winter and a constant demand for her services she is drowning. As a gift to Theea and in memory of my darling Oscar whom I miss terribly everyday, I want to make a difference to these dogs and cats and make their lives more comfortable whilst they wait patiently for a forever family. Your donations will go towards building materials to build a proper large weather proof shelter, small kennels to keep the animals warm in the winter, vital food and medical supplies, it will also enable us to build a website in order to help these animals find safe and loving homes.
