Help the Dvorak's through Scot & Josie's illnesses

Hi, my name is Tori. On August 25th 2022 my dad Scot was taken by ambulance to Mercy hospital . He was in extreme pain so a CT scan was done on him.
My mom and dad were delivered devastating news . The CT scan showed a large mass encircling his bowels and other vital organs . Surgery was done that day where they sampled the tumor as well as found that the tumor had perforated his bowel. They were unable to repair the perforation due to the complexity of the mass. So the surgeons placed 6 tubes in ky dad for draining the bowels as well as a feeding tube . The pathology results came back that my dad has an extremely rare Plasmablastic Lymphoma .
His surgical oncologist as well as his Oncologist said he would undergo 6-9 months of chemotherapy as well as have 1 or two more major abdominal surgeries to repair the bowel perforation , fix a herniated incision and hopefully remove the Feeding tube .
My dad is the hardest worker I know. He is the primary income for my mom and my little sister . My mom works full time caring for my little sister Josie who has LGS ( a rare and life threatening form of epilepsy) , Down syndrome and autism . She has now taken on the role of caring for my dad as well. My dads prognosis is positive is what the Oncologists are saying because it was caught early . My parents and sister mean the world to me and anything you can give would go directly to helping them out during this difficult and unexpected time. Thank you for reading and anything you can help with. We also appreciate many prayers for both my dad and my sister Josie. We decided to do this instead of a benefit. We know how busy everyone is this time of year and figured this would be easier on everyone! ❤️

On November 9th, my sister Josie was admitted to Children's hospital due to pneumonia in both lungs, influenza A, and sepsis. They had to intubate her. Since the 9th, they have tried 2 times to take the breathing tube out and both times she failed to breathe on her own and they needed to reintubate. She was too weak from being on sedation for so long and due to her other health issues (down syndrome, epilepsy, etc.) She now has to get a tracheostomy. Hearing this news turned our whole world upside down. Our sweet Jojo has gone through so much in her short 16 years. This is going to be a very long road for us. The rehabilitation will take 1-3 months at Gillette children's in St Paul. This means it will be 1-3 months before my mom and I are able to work again, because we work for Josie. We are her PCA's. With my Dad out if work as well, this is going to be incredibly hard on all of us. Thank you to everyone that has donated or shared thus far. We appreciate every single one of you more than you could ever know. ❤️
