The Dutch Fund

Hello!  This is your friendly neighborhood Matt Nowak here.  That's us at the top.  Dutch and I are in a bit of a pickle (Dutch is my pup).  You see, what had happened was a very close friend of mine/roommate disciplined Dutch, but took it too far.  He ended up fracturing Dutch's femur bone in three seperate places rendering that leg useless.  The vets had explained to me that they have seen dogs get hit by cars that have suffered less injury than Dutch.  I will let you infer what you need to, but the bottom line is that the best option for Dutch and I was to amputate his leg.  Pins and plates could fix it, but there was no guarantee and I didn't have enough money for that option either. 

So that was our Christmas week, him suffering, some sleepless nights, missed time of work, constant emotion dripping from my eyes.  You don't ever think tragedy can hit you, but it can, and I don't wish it on anybody.  Needless to say, we are physically, emotionally, and financially drained.  I was directed by a few friends to put something on here to help out with the bills.  Anything to assist in cutting down the mountain of surgery costs/vet visits/medications/travel expenses/lost time of work would be greatly appreciated.  Even if we only get one donation of one dollar, I would consider this a sucess and would also bring me to tears knowing that someone else would give up their hard earned money to help a couple friends in need.  And by us, I do mean Dutch and I. 

So that is our story, and I hope that this is an eye opener that animal abuse is a thing, and can happen to anybody.  If this helps spread the word, hopefully it will help curb this problem so that situations like this will be put to an end.
