A few weeks ago our beloved Coleman family's world was turned upside down.
After experiencing headaches for just a few short weeks, Ray (daddy-o) was found to have multiple brain tumours. The doctors found these tumours to have originated from his lung and the family received the devastating diagnosis of stage 4 lung cancer.
Ray underwent brain surgery to remove the tumours, however the real battle has just begun.
Ray continues to suffer from the effects of not only his surgery, but the brain tumours that remain.
Ray is obviously no longer able to work and Anna has also had to leave her job in order to care for Ray full time.
There is still a long road ahead - with plans for both radiotherapy and possibly chemotherapy as part of his treatment.
At times like this, it is important the family spend every moment they can with Ray - every moment is precious. But rents still need to be paid and food needs to be on their table.
The Colemans are a caring, generous family who have always gone out of their way to help others and now it's our turn to help them when they truly need it the most.
There is not a lot each individual can do to help in a situation like this - but this WILL help. It will mean they can spend time with Ray without financial burdens hanging over them.
Please dig deep friends and family. The family will be forever grateful for the time you buy them.
