Warmth is a fundamental human need and it is best when shared. We are a team of eco-concious students at the University of Montana. In order to bring attention to greener building methods, we are constructing a mobile sustainable sauna that will spark dialogue. Support us as we are designing and building this project from scratch. All of the proceeds will go to building materials. We will also be accepting donations of firewood. 

Thus far, the Boiling Pot team has framed all 8 walls of the sauna, and our build progress has now come to halt. We are making every effort to use our money to buy recycled, high-quality, low-cost material throughout our project. Thus far we have used reclaimed lumber from Heritage Timber for all of our framing. In order to support our next green building supply business (vapor barriers, stove materials, hardware, insulation, siding, etc.), we need to boost our budget. A bit of funding is the Boiling Pot team's next hurdle on the path towards a fully-functional, high-efficiency, portable, community sauna!





This project is a senior capstone as part of UM's Global Leadership Initiative. Our team members are Laura Barta, Teagan Martin, Tegan Miller, Ashley Perry, Dylan Portoghese, Avriel Skolnick, and Wyatt Trull. Our mentor is Henriette Lowisch. We are stoked about the opportunity to test building ideas and create a gateway into further conversations that challenge the norm.
