Theatre Deli Winter Warmth Appeal
We would like to give a massive THANK YOU to all of you who have supported Theatre Deli Sheffield and donated to help with our heating issues. As you know it has been a struggle over the past few months to keep the venue warm, but with your help and the support of Standard Aberdeen, we have managed to install two new heaters in our theatre space.
Unfortunately, the cost of temporary heaters, fuel, loss of earnings from cancelled bookings and astronomical electricity bills has come in at just under £5,000 which was money we wanted to invest into our Young Persons Programming Panel in January 2020. The YPPP allows teenagers to get involved in the arts by programming shows they would like to see address topics and themes which matter most to young individuals.
We want to be able to support young people and allow them to have a voice in 2020. Please help us achieve this goal by making a donation of whatever you can afford towards the program. We appreciate all donations and would like to mention all those who donate over £20 in our next brochure (to be released in late April 2020).
Theatre Deli Sheffield has been operating on the Moor since 2014. Over the past 5 years we have supported 400+ artists and welcomed over 9,000 audience members. Not only has the venue been used for supporting the arts it has also been a hub for the local Sheffield community with charities that support vulnerable adults to free theatre workshops for young children. The theatre has also played host to inclusive events to encourage, engage and support those who identify as LGBTQ+, communities of B.A.M.E backgrounds, disadvantaged individuals, migrants and families.
