Theatre, Anti-Bullying and Youth Mental Health
Donation protected
The 100 Watt Youth Ensemble of Ottawa (Canada) is seeking support to produce their upcoming theatre project that centres on the impact of bullying on youth, and the climate of fear in which bullying traps both its victims and perpetrators. The play, DNA, will be performed at the Ottawa Fringe Festival from June 12-22, 2025. Your support will help us cover essential production needs, and 100 Watt will be making a donation to Kids Help Phone , Canada’s only 24/7, free, confidential, and multilingual e-mental health solution for young people to Feel Out Loud and access support whenever they need it most.
$2000 of your appreciated donation will help 100 Watt and its team of youth pay for the play’s set, props, costumes, marketing costs (posters and promotion, programs, outreach to schools), and for an archival photographer. $500 will go to Kids Help Phone, in support of their continued leadership in e-mental health and invaluable impact on the lives of youth.
100 Watt Productions’ vision – to create theatre with youth that communicates their hopes, fears and questions to audiences across generations – aligns with Kids Help Phone’s belief in being “courageous, collaborative, resilient and trustworthy”. In sharing part of our proceeds, we support their invaluable impact on the lives of youth.
