Thea Brooks Power Hour - set up by her friends

We were deeply shocked to see that our friend and peer, Thea Brook, suffered a brain haemorrhage recently.

Whilst she is thankfully on the mend, Thea understandably needs time to recover.

However as her main income sources were via consulting or her cookery classes, that also has wider implications.

It is, at best, absolutely rotten luck, and at worst, a serious financial challenge at a time when her health needs to be the only concern.

If you know or follow Thea, you’ll know she’s been hugely open about her challenging last year, to try and help others in the wider F&B community who might experience something similar.

Thea has grown The Brook brand from a local restaurant to a national food brand, with listings in Co-op, Budgens, Whole Foods and Planet Organic to name a few. Along the way they have won multiple awards. They have operated both in-house and outsourced manufacturing and recently added an ecommerce channel that's growing >50% month on month. 3 months ago the business unfortunately folded.

As a result, we think it’s time for the community to try and help Thea.

With Thea’s blessing, we’re selling tickets for an event in the future- “Thea’s Power Hour’.

Quite what the hour will be, we’ll have to see.

It might be a talk on lessons from her last business, it might be some coaching, heck, given revelations that she used to be a touring artist, it might even be her singing**. We’ll leave it to her when the time is right.

Hopefully, you've also realised that to be honest, it doesn’t really matter, and it may well not even happen. That's not the point. Just know it’s likely the best ticket you’ll buy all year. Yup, even better than Glasto.

Tickets are a min of £20, but you can pay anything you see fit above that too. It goes without saying every penny goes to helping Thea focus on her recovery.
