On November 7th Ezra began to feel unwell. His oxygen saturation started dropping and he was unable to maintain the proper O2 levels on his own along with a low grade fever. He was admitted to the ICU at UofM on November 11th for a diagnosis of pneumonia. With Ezra’s condition of muscular dystrophy it has made it harder for his body to fight off the infection. Ezra spent several days in the ICU and was transferred to an intermediate level floor where he started to show some signs of improvement. After spending almost two weeks in the hospital he was able to return home with oxygen and continue to get stronger there. Ezra has only been home a few short days and has begun to decline leaving him feeling fatigued, weak, and unable to maintain his own oxygen levels again. He was readmitted at UofM on November 27th. Ezra is scheduled for surgery this week to have a tracheostomy to help improve his breathing. The amount of time he will spend in the hospital is unknown. Ezra has maintained a full time job for the last year and is unable to work at this time. With that being said the bills are adding up between gas, food, parking, and daily living expenses. On behalf of Ezra’s friends, we would like to make the burden of money the least of the families worry. He needs his parents by his side during this difficult time. He has one of the kindest hearts and would do anything for anyone. He has been through things no person should ever have to endure, yet he remains so positive and lives life to the fullest! No amount is too small and all is appreciated. If you don’t have the financial means to donate, we ask that you please send positive vibes and prayers to Ezra❤️
