Help Us Launch The Writers Grove!

Kelvin Grove's Student-Led Writers Festival

We're a group of QUT creative writing students, and this year we're excited to build a writers festival from the ground up. It's the first time this is being done and is entirely student-led.

The Writers Grove is a one-day festival happening on Friday the 23rd of October. We will bring together panels, workshops, Q&As with working authors, and honest conversations about how the publishing industry works. This event is for anyone who writes, reads, and beyond.

Why we're fundraising

This festival exists because of the passion and dedication of QUT's creative writing community. Because this is a brand new endeavour, there is no existing budget, sponsor, or previous ticket revenue behind it. Everything from the ground up is being organised, designed, and run by us. This will make it a truly unique experience, but also means the costs become our responsibility.

Your support goes directly towards:

This is the first-ever Writers Grove. What we build this year will become the foundation for future QUT cohorts to grow in the future.

Every contribution, big or small, will help us put on an unforgettable event.

Thank you for backing Brisbane's writing community!
