Well, I don’t know where to start. Our family never imagined making this or asking for help. We still don’t want to, but we aren’t sure of the next steps. As most of you now know, Brian had a suspicious lymph node in March. To be honest, we couldn’t tell because he has a fat neck. (He approved that) He thought it was a salivary gland and was using lemon heads. That obviously didn’t help. He ended up in the ER in May with a 4cm mass on the lymph node. We all had our suspicions, but no confirmation. He went to the ENT. That process was drawn out because the people in the office kept hanging up on him. (Rude!) After finally getting in, they scheduled a biopsy of the lymph node and tonsil. Why tonsil you ask? Well, of course it is cancer from HPV. Long story short, Brian couldn’t wait and had an emergency early. We got the diagnosis we needed. He is dramatic though and to get sepsis and barely be able to function. We are home after getting the port. We follow up with oncology and next week. September 10th he will begin treatment. Chemotherapy once a week and radiation Monday-Friday. He will attempt to work those days, but we have no clue how it will go. He does have FMLA, but that is only paid if you have the time. He had 3 weeks. He has 7 weeks of treatment. He has used the 3 weeks healing. We are still working with all options at work, but just not sure of the outcome. With Brogan going into 6th grade and Brian having cancer, I don’t want him to be worrying about having a house. Wow, that was long. Sorry!

All jokes aside, we appreciate each of you. The prayers are enough for us. We just need to prepare for no income.
