Hi, we’re Madison and Ryan, and we’re fundraising for our fiercely loved corgi, Minnow. Or as we call her, Minnie. She’s our world in a wiggly little body.
She’s only three years old (not even four until June), but she’s already the heart of our little family. Minnie is loud, low to the ground, stubborn in the best way, and endlessly sweet. She’s the kind of dog who judges you from the backseat, locks eyes with you when she wants a snack, and somehow makes life funnier and better just by being in it.
Last week, we brought her to the groomer. Nothing seemed wrong. But they noticed something: swollen lymph nodes. We went to the vet, expecting maybe allergies or an infection.
It wasn’t.
It’s lymphoma.
You wouldn’t know it by looking at her. She’s still playing, begging for treats, and racing around like nothing’s wrong. But inside, something serious is happening. And it’s moving fast.
Our vet recommended the CHOP chemotherapy protocol. It’s aggressive, but it’s the most effective option for this kind of cancer—especially when it’s caught early. We’ve already started treatment because time matters with lymphoma. But the cost is overwhelming: about $5,000 for weekly chemo, bloodwork, and the supportive care that keeps her strong.
We’re doing everything we can, but we can’t do this alone.
If you’ve ever met Minnie—or even just smiled at a picture of her stubby little legs—you know she’s not “just a dog.” She’s family. And we’re not ready to lose her. Not this fast. Not like this.
She still has so much life left to live. So many walks to take, snacks to steal, and zoomies to run.
