My name is Kate and I am fundraising for my lovely friend and co-worker Desi. She is battling breast cancer for the second time and has been undergoing some medical treatment that has a very high price tag.

This woman is a Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunty and friend to so many but she's far more than that.... she is kind, thoughtful, generous and fiercely loyal and nothing means more to her than her husband Barry and her 2 sons.

Desi is the first one to ask "how can I help" or to start a meal chain for a family in need. She has done years of voluntary work for the Caversham Suns football club and for her workplace especially for the boarding students, all in her own time and never for praise or accolades, she does it from the goodness of her heart and always with a smile and a laugh along the way.

I would love to raise as much money as possible for this hard-working woman that has never complained all through her treatment, she has always shown up to work no matter how crappy she feels. Unfortunately, she is having to stop working and so she will need our help to continue her expensive medical treatment.
