The wonderful Acorns Children's Hospice Trust

Ethan Philip Brown

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for clicking this link to find out more about Ethan.

Ethan was welcomed to the world on 8th Oct 2023 and sadly passed away on 28th December 2023 at just 11 weeks old.

3 days into his life Ethan had a seizure which led to him being rushed into intensive care and eventually being transferred to Bristol Children's Hospital.

Ethan underwent countless procedures such as Lumbar puncture’s, CT/MRI scans, 100s of blood gases, EEG/ECG tests, X-rays, cannula's in his head, hands and feet, biopsy's and so many blood tests.

Sadly his parents and Ethan’s brother (Oscar) do not have an official diagnosis, but do know that Ethan had the symptoms of Ohtahara Syndrome, a rare condition which could be a cause of Mitochondria disease.

Unfortunately, all the tests listed above have not been able to provide the official genetic/metabolic reason he was so poorly, but hopefully one day science will evolve and they may find out.

We are raising funds for the wonderful Acorns Children’s Hospice where Ethan was taken to rest once he passed.

Acorns has provided invaluable support, dedication, and care for Ethan and his family.

Any donation is appreciated and would mean the world to his family. Donating funds to this great charity is their way of saying thank you to every single person that has helped make this unthinkable, heartbreaking situation just that little bit easier for them.

Thank you ️
