Hi friends,
I'm Suzanne Waldron. Three years ago I started this group called "5 Women” to personally help severely disadvantaged women in an African slum.
There are now 25 women in the group, and they have created their own businesses to build safety and security for their communities and families.
They've come such a long, long way - From homelessness, selling their children, and other awful realities. They have now built businesses mostly in selling vegetables at the market to build themselves a future.
This week, unrest has wiped out almost all of their stock. Some women have been locked in rooms and tear gassed. Some women have been stoned, stomped on & trampled in the streets. Some have witnessed death.
I know each of these women, alongside my friends who keep this private program going each month, in fact, we zoom call them on Wednesday’s.
I want them to be safe.
I want them to live.
I NEED YOUR HELP.
For the first time I'm going public.
To help them have food to stay in their places of residence without having to go outside. I want them to be safe through this unrest until they can rebuild, once again.
Please help as much as you can. No amount is too small.
A little can be everything.
Your help can make the most dramatic difference to lives of these incredible women and to their families.
Watch their stories I recorded this week.
Thank you for helping me help them.
