Nicola and Damien Winkworth are the kind of people who make a community stronger simply by being a part of it. If you have walked through the gates of a local school or sporting event in Freeling or Kapunda, chances are you’ve felt their kindness, generosity, or support in one way or another.

Nicki and Damien are both hard workers, always looking to give back to the community through their work, generosity, and support of local sports clubs, players, and organisations via sponsorship and encouragement. Together with their two sons, Oscar and Adam, they are a massive part of the local community.

Now, it’s our turn to give back.

Recently and suddenly, Damien was diagnosed with kidney cancer that has spread to his lungs. The treatment he’s receiving comes with serious complications due to a previous medical concern. There is a high risk with treatment, but true to his nature, Damien is committed to tackling it head-on!

This fundraiser isn’t about one specific bill or need. It’s about making life a little easier for a family going through the hardest of times. Whether it’s to help cover everyday expenses, added costs or allow them to create some new memories and moments together, every dollar helps lift a little weight from their shoulders.

True to their generous spirit, they would never ask for help themselves. That’s why we’re stepping in to show that generosity comes back around. That in a community where they’ve given so much, they don’t have to face this alone.
