The Window Box

Hi, my name is Barney and I’d like to introduce you to Noah. Noah is the character from a children’s book I have written called The Window Box which is being beautifully illustrated by Joe Alexander.

Noah is sad because he misses his mummy. My story follows him and his daddy to a new home where Noah has to start at a new school. Daddy helps where he can as Noah struggles to adjust. The book is intended to give younger children who may be dealing with loss a character they can identify with and perhaps even relate to. It shows that it’s ok to feel sad and worried, and there are sometimes things we can do to help us feel a little better.

I would really like to publish this book but have no means to do so. I don’t earn much money and am self employed so often when I have time for creative pursuits I don’t have money and when I have money it’s because I’m working so struggle to find the time and energy I need.

I intend to raise as much as possible to kickstart this project and ideally be able to come away from the daily grind use my time and creativity to help others and make a real difference in the world.

I truly believe there is so much good I can do and so many people I can reach. I’m hoping this will be the first stepping stone.
