The Winder Wish
Donation protected
The Winder Wish is to have their Daddy Jeff feel better through his battle with stage 4 cancer and able to stay making memories as long as possible.
Jeff is the kind of husband you hope your daughter, sister, best friend will marry. Rebecca really won the jackpot with him! He is so good to her, always respectful, loving, and helpful. He has recently been working two jobs to make ends meet. Additionally, he helps out often at home with the cooking and cleaning. He is a devoted, doting father always involved in the details of his kids lives. He’s there for their basketball games, dance recitals, fishing and camping trips, bedtime stories, and even helping pick out and wrap the presents for birthdays and Christmas for his 5 young children.
On December 14th, the Winder family were devastated by the words no one ever wants to hear. Their dear husband and father has stage 4 colon cancer and it has spread to his lymph system and lungs.
The recommended medical treatment for Jeff is an aggressive schedule of chemotherapy. It is expected to be issued as an IV drip into a central port, initiated at the hospital every Friday and continued through the weekend at home. Surgery is not advised at this time. They are hoping to start this therapy as soon as possible.
Rebecca and her children are so worried about Jeff surviving cancer and how to cope with his aggressive chemotherapy schedule and side-effects. Jeff and Rebecca are also concerned about the ever-growing medical bills, recent car troubles, and making ends meet now that Jeff had to quit his second job due to his pain and fatigue.
Your donation will do so much more than help with the bills. It will help relieve their financial stress during this difficult time. We all wish finances were the last thing that a family with cancer would need to focus on. Let’s work together to help the Winders focus on what is important –quality time with Jeff during his fight against cancer.
Some of the expenses we are hoping to raise funds for will be:
• Medical Bills
• Gas money for weekly visits to the hospital that is an hour drive away
• Money for a reliable vehicle to drive them to the hospital each week (both of their vehicles are having mechanical issues and need new snow tires)
• Living expenses that will accrue while Jeff is not working
Please consider donating to one of the most deserving families that we know. Jeff and Rebecca have always had big hearts and helping hands for anyone in need. It is now our time to help them in their time of need.
