On the evening of Thursday May 11, while on vacation in Florida, Dusty, Kimmy, and their four kids (Kade, Zealand, Sawyer, and Emmy) were in a serious car accident. Sawyer, my youngest nephew, suffered a traumatic brain injury and was immediately airlifted to a major trauma center. Emmy suffered cracked vertebra and a broken collarbone. Zealand’s lung was bruised, and Kimmy has four broken ribs.

I am relieved to report that Sawyer is recovering as well as possible at this stage. God is certainly working a miracle in his healing! The doctors predict this will be an 18+ month-long road to recovery, and will most likely involve regular travel for specialized care. Therapy will also be required for his siblings’ injuries.

While we don’t yet know the full extent of the need, I am certain that it will exceed the goal I’m setting. Thank you for your donation, and for your continued prayers for their entire family!
