The Williams' IVF Journey

Hi! For those that don’t know me, I’m Brittney. You happened upon this page because my sister, Skylar and her husband, Russ need our help. Most of you know Skylar as a very outgoing, bubbly person. She’s loud and she’s hilarious. Her laugh is literally the best. What you may not know is that Skylar is a very private person. Especially when dealing with hard things. She has graciously allowed me to share her story.

Nearly a year ago, my husband and I were blessed beyond measure with our twins, Jameson and Roslyn. The only option we had to conceive them was through IVF. Unfortunately, that is the same expensive and emotionally exhausting route that my sister is going to have to take.

Her story is different from mine though. Skylar has endometriosis. It has wreaked havoc on her body. The doctor said it was the worst case he has seen throughout his whole career. Her only option to conceive is IVF. The fertility doctor is recommending two to three egg retrievals which is the most expensive part ($12,000 each time). To add to the endometriosis, she only has six egg follicles when most women have 25. After the egg retrieval, she has to pay for the normal IVF treatment as well ($26,000). This IVF journey is going to be super expensive! Everything has to be paid upfront before she can even begin the process.

With all of that being said, Skylar is not one to ask for help or even to accept it, but we all need help every once in a while. Ten out of ten times, SKYLAR is the one going above and beyond to help others in need. I’m asking our friends, family and community to help a person who has given so much to us over the years. IVF is emotionally and physically taxing, I know because I’ve done it. Let’s take some of the burden off of her financially so she can focus on her treatment.

We serve a big God and we believe that He’s going to bless Skylar and Russ beyond measure and allow them to conceive. They are the best aunt and uncle around and would be AMAZING parents.
