The Williams Family, Dan Williams and Emma Connell

My name is Carol and I am funderaising for Dan Williams and Emma Connell.

On the 26th January Dan was involved in a serious road traffic accident. He was airlifted to the Queens Medical Centre at Nottingham.

It was confirmed that Danny had broken both his femurs with a compound open fracture, broken his knee and ankle, pelvis, sternum, shoulder, broken his wrist and damaged the tendons to his hand, has bruising of his brain and broke bones in neck. He also suffered many cuts to his face.

Over the past week Dan has been intubated and sedated, and has been to surgery twice to try and repair his legs and hand.

On the 3rd February I am pleased to be able to say that Dan has regained consciousness much to the relief of all his family and friends.

It is likely that Dan will remain in intensive care for several weeks, and his recovery is going to take months if not over a year.

Dan has a partner Emma and between them they have 2 delightful girls Isla who is 7 and Kya who is 3. They had just moved into their perfect home only a few days before this accident.

Right now Dan’s health is a priority but unfortunately in this world you need to be able to survive financially and it is going to put a huge strain on their finances for quite some time, which is a worry that they could do without.

For those of you who know this lovely family you will know that the last year has thrown up many challenges for all of the Williams family.

People have said that they would like to help up financially so I am setting up this Go Fund Me page (with the permission of Emma Connell) so that they are able to donate.

All of the money raised will go directly to Dan and Emma and will be used to take some of the financial burden away from them.

A huge thank you to anybody who is donating from all of the family, I will post updates as he starts his journey to recovery.
