Help Us Buy a Woodland to Support Men's Mental Health

Hi, I’m Jonathan Toney, founder of The Wild Wood Connection Project—a grassroots initiative based in Stratford-upon-Avon, tackling the men’s mental health crisis head-on.

This fundraiser is to help us buy our own piece of woodland—a permanent base for our project where men can come to heal, connect, and grow. It will also serve as a blueprint for others to replicate across the UK.

Why It Matters

Male suicide is at an all-time high. Men are suffering in silence, disconnected from community, purpose, and themselves. That’s why I launched a weekly men's talking group in the Welcombe Hills—held outdoors, in nature, where men can open up without judgement.

These sessions are free, accessible, and powerful. They provide a safe space for men to talk honestly, support one another, and reconnect—with themselves, others, and the natural world.

We Need Your Help

Buy woodland to create a permanent HQ and healing space

Continue weekly men’s groups year-round (including indoor venues for winter)

Raise awareness through local ads, leaflets, posters, and community outreach

Inspire and guide others to start similar projects across the country
