As you may know, Wendy was recently diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the mouth. The Wiebe family is currently staying in the Okanagan with her family, awaiting a surgery date in Vancouver. The specialist expects that she will be in hospital in Vancouver for 2 weeks or so, which will take about a month to recover from. Then it is expected that she will undergo radiation treament.
The prognosis is good, but this process will take at least 2 months. Kyle, Aatje and Nelson will be accompanying Wendy to Vancouver for her stay there and will need a place to stay. With these expenses and time lost at work, you can imagine that the bills will be piling up.
Despite Kyle's protests ;), we would like to help raise funds to help them during this time. If you can help with any kind of donation, it would be very much appreciated. The Wiebe's are some of the kindest, most giving people I've met, and I know that they have many friends who would like to help return that good mojo.
