Robert Wentland's Birthday - The Wheelie Wonder

Donation protected
Yes. The first day of this GoFundYoursTruly going live (February 22) is my birthday. Sixty-five years old...Yikes!

You might know me as Robert, Bob or going way, way back, as "the Moose". These days you can call me "The Wheelie Wonder" because, well, I've been rolling around quite a bit lately.

God is good...all the time!

June 28, 2022 was a beautiful day for a motorcycle ride...until it wasn't. Many of you know that, following the accident, I spent nine months in the hospital. Now, I'm living at The Arbor Place, an assisted living facility in Lodi, CA. Home sweet home. But hey, it's not all bad. The cooks do wonders with food that comes in size 10 cans and the bingo nights here are lit! Stop by. Say hi.

All the time...God is good!

The doctors were able to save all of my limbs. That really is a miracle...one that came with lots of steel rods, pins and truth be told...on-going pain. Can you say Norco and Morphine?

My right leg is pretty messed up and my right foot requires special medical treatment twice weekly because of a large open wound that just won't close. The cool thing is that I'm rolling with style in a wheelchair. I can take some steps with a cane or walker, but you should check out the wheels. They are pretty fly.

But wait, there's more! My right arm and hand had to get in on the act. Eighteen months ago, it was questionable whether or not they would stay attached to this beautiful body. Well, they stayed attached, but like my right foot, let's just say they are on a bit of a vacation. But hey, who needs two fully-functional arms when you've got a winning smile and a killer sense of humor, am I right?

Now, here's where you fine folks come in. You see, life threw me a curveball, and I found myself out of a job, out of my house, and trying to budget a greatly reduced income faster than you can say "on your mark, get set, roll!"

But let's get down to business. I have been waiting for a settlement to come in, but it could take another year. In the meantime, yours truly ran out of greenbacks, moolah, dough... you name it, I'm fresh out. That's where your generous hearts and deep pockets come into play. I am hoping this final GoFundMe campaign will raise $10,000 to help me keep the lights on, the wheels rolling, and the chuckles coming for the next year.

So, let's roll up our sleeves and make some magic happen. In all seriousness, your help would mean a great deal to me.

Together, we can turn life's lemons into a lemonade stand that's serving up laughter, hope, and a whole lot of gratitude.

Thank you for your help, prayers, love and your support.
