The Wayne Lawhon Support Fund

Donation protected
Wayne Lawhon is a devout Christian, faithful member of Effingham Church of God and a Chaplain for Howe Springs Fire Rescue. He has been actively serving his community nearly four decades as a fire fighter and has impacted countless lives. He is the owner/operator of a small family tree service and was involved in a tragic accident while on a job site. A tree struck Wayne in the head causing serious injury to his neck and spine, leaving him incoherent and with paralysis in his arms and legs. He was rushed to the emergency room, where he was stabilized and taken in for surgery to begin the repair process of the extensive damage to his spine. He has since regained some use of his upper and lower extremities. Wayne currently is in a stable but critical state while having to wear a "Halo." He will require more surgeries and months of intensive rehab to regain mobility.

Wayne is a loving husband, father and grandfather. He has given so much to his community over the years, this is our chance to give back to him and show our love and support. Wayne is the sole provider for his household and will be unable to provide for them in the weeks and months to come. We are asking for your donation to help the Lawhons with daily expenses, as well as the medical expenses they will incur as a result of this unfortunate accident.
