The Waukegan High School Chess Team needs your support! Our dedicated students are preparing for an exciting season of matches and tournaments, but we cannot do it alone. For years, funding for our team has been extremely limited, leaving us without the essential resources—new chess clocks, boards, uniforms, and other supplies—that allow our students to compete at their best.

Chess is more than a game for these students; it builds discipline, focus, problem-solving skills, and teamwork that they carry into every part of their lives. With your help, we can ensure that every player has the tools and confidence to proudly represent Waukegan, not only in seasonal matches across the state but also at the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Chess State Championship in Peoria this spring.

Your generosity directly impacts our students’ opportunities, their growth, and their ability to showcase the pride of Waukegan on a bigger stage. Please consider donating today—together, we can make this season a reality. Thank you for believing in our team!
